The City of St. John's Archives is available by appointment for research purposes.

Established by a Resolution of Council on Jan. 11, 1989, the Archives is the official repository for all City of St. John's municipal records. The Archives also hold records of enduring significance relating to St. John's history. We may be able to assist you with:

• Archival photographs
• Building research
• City history
• City records
• Genealogical research
• Maps
• Municipal government history

The Archives is open to the public by appointment only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Contact us to schedule an appointment.

Donations

Archives accepts donations from the private sector of materials relating to the history of St. John's. Contact us if you have material you wish to donate.
