Fire and Emergency Services

St. John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) provides fire and emergency protection in our region. We offer services to the municipalities of St. John's, Mount Pearl and Paradise. Backup emergency services are provided to a number of surrounding towns in the Northeast Avalon Region. The SJRFD coordinates and cooperates with government departments and other groups and agencies for the effective delivery of emergency services.

Message from the Fire Chief

Our department maintains a fleet of 29 units. This includes front-line apparatus and support vehicles, and a wide variety of support equipment.

We are responsible for 911 communication services, within the Northeast Avalon.
