New Year’s Eve Fireworks on Friday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.

Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?

Join us for a speculator firework display over Quidi Vidi Lake at 8 p.m. this Friday, December 31. Accessible parking for the fireworks is available at Dominion Memorial Market.

You can also ring in the new year from the comfort of your home by watching NTV at midnight for a rebroadcast of the fireworks show.

Public Health Guidelines
Keeping COVID-19 public health guidelines in mind, the City recommends attendees remain in their vehicles to watch the fireworks. If exiting vehicles or walking and wheeling to the site, wearing a face mask and keeping two meters of physical distance from others that are not close contacts is strongly encouraged.

Road Closures
To facilitate the New Year's Eve fireworks display, the following streets will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted:

  • The Boulevard (closed 7:30pm to 8:30pm from Legion Road to East White Hills Road)
  • Lake Avenue
  • Carnell Drive
  • Clancey Drive
  • Lakeview Avenue

In case of unsuitable weather for fireworks, they will be postponed to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 1. For more information, please visit The City’s website.
