Operations

Our Operations Division provides fire suppression and other services from eight fire stations in the region.

Suppression personnel stand ready 24 hours a day to respond to emergency calls. These include:

• Fire, Vehicle and Medical emergencies
• Hazardous Material emergencies
• High Angle (Cliff) rescues
• Water rescues
• Shipboard firefighting
• Confined space rescues

Suppression staff also work hard to reduce emergencies. We conduct pre-fire planning, identify hazards, manage emergency contacts and keep hazardous material inventories. This is very helpful in reducing damage and disruption, and increasing speedy response.
