Animals that are impounded, of suitable temperament and not claimed by their owners within a five-day period may be offered for adoption.

Cats up for adoption are also housed at the Mad Catter Café, 124 Duckworth Street.

Adoption Process

Complete and submit either the:

• cat adoption questionnaire
• dog adoption questionnaire

Fees and Services

Cats and Kittens: $138 Adoption Fee

Adoption fees now include spaying/neutering, as well as the following:

• Full medical examination by our staff veterinarian
• First vaccination
• Felv test
• Dewormed
• Flea treated
• Pet insurance
• Microchip

Dogs and Puppies: $161 Adoption Fee

Residents of St. John's will have to pay an extra $15 to have the animal registered and the fee will include the following:

• Full medical examination by our staff veterinarian
• First vaccination
• Kennel cough vaccine
• Dewormed
• Flea treated
• Pet insurance
• Microchip
