ChillFest 2023: St. John's Winter Celebration

Celebrate winter with a variety of free activities taking place February 11 to 14. ChillFest has something for everyone, and all activities are offered free of charge. 

Visit our parks and take part in a scavenger hunt all week. Find the hidden words in Bannerman, Bowring and Victoria Parks, email your finds and you may win a great prize pack from the City of St. John’s!

Saturday, February 11

• Join us for Snow-Ga, yoga in the great outdoors! For all-ages and skill levels in Bowring Park. Registration on Eventbrite is required.
• Join us for mega fun at our MegaPlay day, 2 to 4 p.m. at Kenmount Terrace.
• Skate with your special someone at The Loop with decorations, free hot chocolate and your favorite love songs, 7 to 9 p.m.

Sunday, February 12

• The Freez’n Fun Run beginning at 9 a.m. is all-ages and abilities at Bowring Park. Registration on Eventbrite is required.
• Sit in on our annual Kitchen Party with Fergus O’Byrne and enjoy free, traditional Newfoundland treats
• Dress up as your favourite hero at the Heroes’ Family Fun Afternoon at The Loop

Monday, February 13

• We’re hosting a free playgroup at Kenmount Terrace for children 5 and under and their guardians followed by free youth and adult drop-ins Monday night. 
• Enjoy free skates the Mary’s Brown’s Centre, 12:30 and 2 p.m. on February 13 and 14.

Tuesday, February 14

• Free ski and snowshoe rentals at the Winter Activity Centre in Pippy Park. Adaptive equipment is available and must be pre-booked at (709) 576-6972 or email inclusion@stjohns.ca.
• Date night is covered! Join your sweetheart for a skate at The Loop with decorations, free hot chocolate and sappy love songs, 7 to 9 p.m.
