Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, residents living in Ward 3 of the City of St. John's will elect a new Councillor. The candidates are:
The deadline to return completed voting kits by mail was October 30, 2024. Residents that still need to cast their vote can deposit their completed vote-by-mail kit at the green drop box situated outside City Hall up until 8 p.m. on November 5.
During election day tomorrow, voters may also drop-off completed kits or cast their ballots at the satellite drop-off centre located at the Village Mall, 430 Topsail Rd, between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The drop-off centre is on the first floor near the main entrance facing Topsail Road across from the bus stops. Wayfinding signage will be in place.
Voters who intend to register to vote at the satellite drop-off centre must have acceptable identification available.
The results for the Ward 3 By-Election will be available after the polling stations close at 8 p.m. on November 5, 2024.
Once all final ballots are delivered to City Hall from the satellite drop off stations, the results will be posted online.
A PSA will be published on the city website after the results are available. There is no set time for the announcement of results.
