In February, we opened a new engagement opportunity seeking ideas and feedback from residents to support the development of a new Recreation Master Plan.
The Recreation Master Plan will support the delivery of quality recreation opportunities to proactively manage the current and future investment in recreation opportunities. The plan will provide a long-term foundation for planning and decision-making, along with actionable recommendations that will build on the City’s current strengths in the provision of recreation facilities, programs, and services for all residents. Once complete, the plan will shape the future of recreation facilities, spaces and programs for the next ten years.
This engagement opportunity will conclude on March 31, 2024, but you still have time to have your say about what recreation opportunities you want to see in our City.
An easy way to provide feedback is by taking our online survey! This survey is designed to get feedback on the recreation opportunities that matter most to you, and how you think we can improve programs and services in the future.
Residents can also submit ideas on the EngageStJohns.ca project page, email Engage@stjohns.ca.
The City has a strategic direction to be a Connected City where people feel connected, have a sense of belonging and are actively engaged in community life. Developing and delivering programs, services and public spaces that build safe, healthy and vibrant communities is key to advancing this direction.
