Give to REAL on Giving Tuesday

This holiday season why not give the gift of play to a child in need? Today is Giving Tuesday and you can support children in need by supporting the REAL Program through the purchase of holiday cards. Cards are five for $20 and can be purchased by phone at 709-576-8684, by email at real@stjohns.ca or drop by the Paul Reynolds Community Centre, the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre or Access St. John’s at City Hall.

The REAL Program supports children in financial need by placing them in recreation and arts programs of their choice. Without REAL, these children may not have the opportunity to take part in these activities. One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to paying for program spaces, equipment and transportation costs.

REAL depends on support from the community to make it possible to support many children in need. We are so grateful for our REAL donors. Thank you to Lester’s Farm Market, one of our long-time supporters who provided a generous $19,000 donation from Pumpkin Fest proceeds. Our community partners are critical to ensure that we can continue to provide recreation opportunities to youth in our community.
