Call for Members: Youth Engagement Working Group

The City of St. John’s is seeking nominations to fill the following vacancies for the Youth Engagement Working Group:

• One organizational representative (youth aged 18 to 30 serving organizations)
• One individual representative (youth aged 18 to 30)

Interested individuals should review the Terms of Reference before completing the application. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 16, 2023.

About the Youth Engagement Working Group

The Youth Engagement Working Group oversees implementation of the Youth Engagement Strategy and provides ongoing advice and guidance on how to best engage youth aged 18-30 on City matters. The Working Group provides perspectives on topics that are of interest to youth and recommends the most appropriate engagement tools and methods, and helps identify barriers and gaps that might impact youth engagement. In the past year the YEWG held a youth forum and advised on several city plans and strategies as well as the Youth Panel.
