The City has received an application to rezone land at 242 Danny Drive from the Industrial General (IG) Zone to the Industrial Commercial (IC) Zone for a Commercial Garage and Showroom (Retail Use). Commercial Garage is a Permitted Use in the IC Zone, and Retail Use is a Discretionary Use. A Municipal Plan amendment is not required.
At this time, the City is also considering rezoning land at 215 Danny Drive, 223 Danny Drive, and 250 Beaumont Hamel Way from the IG Zone to the IC Zone, and removing reference to Commercial Garage building height from Section 6.10 of the Development Regulations. Commercial Garage building height will be regulated in the zone tables.
Along with this rezoning, the City is advertising the Discretionary Use of a Retail Use at this location. The floor area is approximately 367m2. The hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. On-site parking is available.
