A Public Meeting will take place regarding an application for a “Nordic Spa” at 1274 Blackhead Road.
The City has received an application to develop a “Nordic Spa” at 1274 Blackhead Road. In order to consider this development, a text amendment to the St. John’s Development Regulations is required to add Rural Tourism Use as a Discretionary Use in the Rural Residential (RR) Zone. The proposed development will include a main building with a reception area and change rooms, various indoor and outdoor spa treatments areas, as well as bed and breakfast accommodations and three overnight rental domes.
Along with the amendment, the City is advertising the Discretionary Use of a Rural Tourism Use. The proposed development will have a 271 square metre main building, three 29 square metre overnight rental domes, and twelve various domes, huts or saunas totaling 503 square metres. Off-street parking will be provided.
