There’s space in our spring programs, earn new skills and try something fun! For children check out spring camp, home alone course and bike trail ride. For adults try our archery course or wilderness survival. There’s something for everyone!
Keep your children active in our Spring Camp with games, off site trips, sports and outdoor fun! Children must be in kindergarten to grade 6.
Shea Heights Community Centre: Monday to Friday, April 21 to 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For any young person age 10 and over (must be 10 by December 31, 2025) that will be spending short periods of time home alone. This course covers many topics that will help children and their parents feel more confident. Bring a lunch.
Southlands Community Centre: Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Learn the basics of safe biking practices on trails and in neighbourhoods. All participants must have their own bike and CSA approved helmet. Ages 8-12.
Rotary Sunshine Park: Saturday, May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to noon
Learn basic skills to help you survive if lost in the woods. Topics include shelter building, fire building and signaling. All equipment provided. Ages 18+
Rotary Sunshine Park: Sunday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Learn the basics of archery such as proper shooting, how to aim, types of equipment and safety regulations. All equipment is provided. Ages 18+
Rotary Sunshine Park: Wednesdays, May 14 to 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
