To facilitate the Regatta events there will be various road closures and No Parking/Tow Away areas implemented. These road restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of pedestrians around the Regatta Site.
Access will only be permitted for emergency and service vehicles on roads that are closed for Regatta Eve and Regatta Day.
Residents who live on these roads that must use their vehicles on Regatta Day are encouraged to park their vehicles outside the Regatta site. Proof of residency will be required to access their residence on regatta day if other arrangements cannot be made. However, access for residents may need to be restricted at periods throughout the day to ensure pedestrian safety.
Road Closure and No Parking/Tow Away - 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Road Closures - 7:00 a.m. to 30 minutes after the last race or until the level of pedestrian activity allows safe vehicular access:
No Parking – Tow Away - 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.:
Vehicles parked on any street designated as “No Parking – Tow Away” or anywhere that they are obstructing traffic (including pedestrian traffic) will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Parking for persons with a provincially issued accessible permit will be available at the Dominion Parking Lot. Accessible parking is available on a first come first serve basis.
Free Park N' Ride service is available on Regatta Eve, Tuesday, August 6. Shuttles will run on a load and go basis from Confederation Building to King’s Bridge Road from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Metrobus runs several shuttle routes to Quidi Vidi Lake on Regatta Day. For information on routes and schedules go to the Metrobus website or call Ride Guide at 709-722-9400.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience these closures and parking restrictions may cause and thanks you for your co-operation.
