Pay stations continue to roll out

The City has completed rolling out pay stations and the parking application PaybyPhone to the downtown core, including Water Street, Harbour Drive, Duckworth Street, and the nearby side streets. The program will now expand to areas in the City that were at one time serviced by meters, and most recently have been operated as timed parking. These areas include:

• Westerland Road
• Churchill Square
• Ricketts Road
• Freshwater Road
• Harvey Road
• Cookstown Road
• Long’s Hill
• Rennie’s River Parking Lot

The paid parking program helps to ensure turnover for businesses and services in these areas and is part of a sustainable and effective on-street parking program.

Motorists are reminded to look for signage when parking, which will note the restrictions in the area.

Payment for on-street City parking is required Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is free after 6 p.m. on weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday, and on statutory holidays, unless a ban is in place or otherwise noted.
