The City of St. John’s recognizes the importance of accessibility in municipal services.
Our Inclusion Advisory Committee supports Council and staff to identify and break down barriers that prevent residents and visitors living with disabilities from enjoying what our city has to offer. Their contributions are invaluable.
We are looking forward to implementing the province’s new Accessibility Act and regulations. City staff are busy preparing our first multi-year Accessibility Plan, which will highlight current accessibility considerations as well as how we plan to continuously improve to make St. John’s an accessible place to live, learn, work and play. An important part of developing this plan is to engage with residents, visitors and businesses. Stay tuned to City communications for upcoming opportunities to provide feedback about accessibility in City of St. John’s programs and services.
