A Discretionary Use application has been submitted for a Retail Use at 161,169 and 171 Thorburn Road.
The proposed Retail Use is for the addition of a dinosaur walk to the previously approved haunted Halloween and Christmas walks. The walk begins at 161 Thorburn Road (tickets sales) and then runs through the properties of 161, 169 and 171 Thorburn Road. The walks are directed, and spectators will encounter props, actors, sounds, music, décor and lights, and will take approximately 10 minutes. There will be three employees on-site. Parking is provided on-site, with additional parking at nearby locations.
The applicant is proposing revised hours of operation 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week from May 1 to December 31. This is proposed to be extended from the current approval of October 1 to December 30, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. nightly, with a matinee 1 to 4 p.m.
