A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted by Iceavik Nordic Spa & Village Inc. at 125 George’s Pond Road.
The proposed application is for Rural Tourism Use to allow Nordic spa facilities and hospitality services, which are provided within 16 buildings on-site. The main building is for registration (office), washrooms and change rooms and has a floor area of approximately 162m2. The smaller buildings are used for reading and meditation areas, sauna huts, treatment domes, yoga and a restaurant, and range in area up to 96m2. There are three buildings for overnight accommodation, and each can accommodate a maximum of four people and have a floor area of approximately 29.2m2. There are seven pool/water structures, which include four hot pools, two cold water plunges and one cold waterfall plunge. The business will operate seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On-site parking is provided.
