A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted by Iceavik Nordic Spa & Village Inc. at 125 George’s Pond Road.

Description

The proposed application is for Rural Tourism Use to allow Nordic spa facilities and hospitality services, which are provided within 16 buildings on-site. The main building is for registration (office), washrooms and change rooms and has a floor area of approximately 162m². The smaller buildings are used for reading and meditation areas, sauna huts, treatment domes, yoga and a restaurant, and range in area up to 96m². There are three buildings for overnight accommodation, and each can accommodate a maximum of four people and have a floor area of approximately 29.2m². There are seven pool/water structures, which include four hot pools, two cold water plunges and one cold waterfall plunge. The business will operate seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On-site parking is provided.
