The City of St. John’s advises the public that a scheduled blast will occur at Robin Hood Bay on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 8 a.m. The blast was originally planned for Sunday, Dec. 18, but was re-scheduled due to weather.
The blast is happening on the east end of the landfill site in the quarry area. The purpose of the blast is for rock production as part of a recent contract awarded to Capital Ready-Mix.

Today, City Council voted in favour of moving forward with design and construction of a shared-use path on the south side of Canada Drive. The design for the project will be tendered in early 2023, with construction to be announced later, once funding is in place.
