The City of St. John's is seeking nominations to fill the following vacancy for the Seniors Advisory Committee:
- One Citizen’s representative (or their caregiver) from the community sector interested in seniors’ issues
Interested individuals should review the Committee Terms of Reference before completing the application and submit the application by 12 noon on Fri., May 26, 2023.

Our Visitor Information Centre, located at 348 Water Street, opens for the season on Mon. May 22. We are open 7 days a week 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including all statutory holidays.
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff provide tourist information and trip planning assistance.

Mews Fitness Classes

Due to instructor availability the Mews Centre aquatic fitness classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 8:20pm, will be cancelled for the remainder of the Spring effective May 18, 2023. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Victoria Day Holiday

Due to the Victoria Day holiday on Mon. May 22, the weekly City Council meeting will take place on Tues. May 23, at 3 p.m.
Please note:
- Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will not occur on Monday, it will be collected on Tues. May 23.
- The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed on Monday.
- Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Quidi Vidi Lake.

Harvey Road ‘Come Home’ Mural Unveiled

Today, Deputy Mayor Sheilagh O’Leary was joined by artist Molly Margaret and provincial government representatives at the official unveiling of a new mural on Harvey Road. The mural was created by Molly Margaret and Lily Taylor and celebrates the meaning of home to people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
