The Winter Activity Centre in the North Bank Lodge at Pippy Park is opening for the season at noon on Wednesday, January 11.
During the winter, the Pippy Park campground is transformed into an area suitable for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Trails are lit for evening use and there is no cost to use the trails.

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District ends at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.
The snow mostly stopped by 6 p.m. today and 9cm is reported at the airport, amounts will vary with elevation and areas where drifting occurred. Flurries and blowing snow may continue for a few more hours and end overnight.

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Downtown and Business District starting 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.
An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed from January 9 to 13 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.
