The City is considering removing the Heritage Building designation from the rear extension of Presentation Covent at 180 Military Road.

Description

The entire footprint of Presentation Convent is currently designated as a Heritage Building. The City is considering removing the designation from the rear extension of the building (portion fronting Barnes Road). The Heritage Building designation will remain on the original part of Presentation Convent, built in 1853.

Resident Satisfaction Survey Results for 2022

At Committee of the Whole on November 30, City Council heard the results of the City’s 2022 Resident Satisfaction Survey, conducted every two years to monitor resident perceptions and to improve performance using the best data available.

What We Heard: Public Engagement for BlindSquare

The City of St. John’s and CNIB piloted the BlindSquare Event Application at the Downtown Pedestrian Mall this summer, followed by public engagement in September and October. City Launches EV Chargers in Multiple Locations

Today, the City of St. John’s announced the opening of the first locations for Level 2 public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at:

• Paul Reynolds Community Centre - 35 Carrick Dr
• Farmers Market - 245 Freshwater Rd
• Southlands Community Centre - 40 Teakwood Dr

There are two chargers at each location.
