Repairs are planned to rehabilitate the Waterford River Bridge at Blackhead Road, with construction scheduled to begin on Mon. May 8 and be completed by the end of August.
The bridge will remain open to traffic during construction with lane reductions required. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., slowdowns and traffic disruptions are expected.

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed from Mar 20 to April 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

The rehabilitation project for the Arup cantilever pedestrian bridge, located in Bowring Park, begins May 1, 2023.
Access to the pedestrian bridge, including a portion of the Waterford River Walk, will be closed until July 28, 2023; see map for alternative route along Southbrook Trail.
