All recreation facilities closed due to the weather on Saturday, Jan. 21 and Sunday morning, Jan. 22 will reopen at noon.
The Loop will also be operation at noon.

Due to weather conditions, all City of St. John's recreation facilities will delay opening on Sunday, Jan 22 until parking lots and walkways can be cleared. An announcement on the opening time will be made at 10 a.m. January 22.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility (including the Residential Drop Off) will close for the remainder of the day.
The Residential Drop Off (RDO) will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 8 a.m.
The City of St John’s apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.
An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.
This parking restriction is required for effective snow clearing and/or snow removal....

In 2023, we’re focused on adding more youth voices to our decision-making.
Our Youth Engagement Working Group are making great progress on the Youth Engagement Strategy which includes more opportunities for young people aged 18 to 30 to have their say and get involved in City matters.

Take notice that the St. John’s Municipal Council has enacted the St. John’s Heritage (Amendment No. 1-2023) By-Law.
The said By-Law was passed by Council on the 16th day of January, A.D., 2023, so as to replace the current Schedule “A” – Terms of Reference for the Built Heritage Experts Panel with an updated Schedule “A” and the current Schedule “C” – Heritage Buildings and Maps with an updated Schedule “C” removing 154 New Cove Road (Bryn Mawr) from the schedule.
