To facilitate the City of St. John's New Year's Eve fireworks display at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 the following streets will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted:
Accessible parking will be available at the Dominion parking lot. The City also recommends attendees remain in their vehicles to watch the fireworks.

Due to the holiday schedule, garbage and recycling will not be collected on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022.
With the exception of Monday, Dec 26, the collection schedule from December 27 to January 6 is the same as usual. This means we’ll collect from both Areas 1 and 2 on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Residents are reminded of a Fireworks By-Law that came in 2021, which states that family fireworks are only allowed on New Year’s Eve and Canada Day from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. the following day.
