Due to forecasted weather conditions, Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop Off (RDO) will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 15.
The Residential Drop Off will reopen Thursday, Feb. 16 at 8 a.m.
The Commercial landfill and recycling facility will be open Feb. 15, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The City of St John’s apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.
An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, waste collection for Area 2A and 2B including recycling for 2A is postponed and will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. Garbage collection for Area 3A and 3B including recycling for 3A will also take place as scheduled on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.
Residents in Area 2 and Area 3 may experience wastes collected later than normal on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, due to the double day.

Parking RestrictionWhen the 24-hour parking restriction is in effect, you cannot park on the street outside the designated downtown area. Vehicles parked on city streets outside downtown may be ticketed and/or towed.

The City of St. John’s has released Economic Review 2022, our annual report on economic indicators for the St. John’s Census Metropolitan Area (CMA).
“Our economy showed signs of moderate to strong growth last year,” said Mayor Breen, Council Lead for Economic Development. “The population is once again growing, unemployment is down, household income is up and the outlook for 2023 is positive.”
