Infrastructure issues continue to impact a reopening at the pool in the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre with repairs taking longer than anticipated. City crews are working to address the current issues as quickly as possible.

A comprehensive code of ethics for Councillors and City staff has been on the radar and in the news for many years now.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Search and Rescue Association (NLSARA) will now assume responsibility for offering helicopter rescues in the St. John’s region. This organization currently provides helicopter rescue to the rest of the province except for the St. John’s region. NLSARA has been a partner for many years in ground search and rescue with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD).

Due to the forecasted weather, the City of St. John's will delay opening its buildings on Wednesday, Feb. 15. This includes City Hall and all recreation facilities. An announcement will be made after 8 a.m. on the scheduled opening time.
