24-Hour Parking Ban Ending: February 17, 2024

The 24-Hour Parking Ban outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District ends at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024.
The overnight winter parking ban remains in effect.

Update: Road Closure - Cochrane Pond Rd.

Motorists are advised that Cochrane Pond Rd. (off Back Line, Goulds) continues to be closed as crews actively work to clear the area with heavy equipment. Only local traffic will be permitted.
The road was closed due to heavy drifting and poor visibility on the evening of February 14. An update will be provided on the status of the closure on February 17.

Application - 214 Waterford Bridge Road

Description
The City has received an application from Jendore Ltd. to rezone land at 214 Waterford Bridge Road from the Institutional (INST) Zone to the Apartment 2 (A2) Zone for a four-storey Apartment Building, with a total of eighty-five (85) units. Apartment Building is a Permitted Use in the A2 Zone. A Municipal Plan Amendment is also required to redesignate the property from the Institutional District to the Residential District.

Space in Recreation Programs at Southlands Community Centre

Southlands Community Centre has space in drop-in programs for children, youth and adults: Walk and Wheel, Youth Drop-In and Playgroup.
Walk and WheelWalk and Wheel is a free drop-in walking program. If you are finding it difficult to walk outdoors, or prefer to walk indoors, join us to walk or wheel in the gymnasium. Please bring indoor footwear. Free, no registration necessary.

24-Hour Parking Ban Remains in Effect

Residents are reminded that the 24-Hour Parking Ban remains in effect and will be enforced outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District.
The City has observed numerous vehicles parked on streets which makes it difficult for equipment operators to effectively and efficiently clear snow from roadways and causes the need for operators to return to clear areas where vehicles were parked.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the ban is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road...

Please be advised that City facilities will remain closed for the remainder of the day (February 15). This includes City Hall, recreation facilities and the residential drop off at Robin Hood Bay. The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility remains open.
