Residents are advised that BioMaxx Environmental, on behalf of the City of St. John's, will be completing sewer inspections along Empire Avenue (Carpasian Road to Signal Hill Road).
To facilitate the inspections, a sewer bypass piping system will be set up along the street to divert sewer flows around the sewer section being inspected. Access to driveways may be restricted. Vehicles will not be permitted...

Description
The City has received an application to rezone land at 46 Hazelwood Crescent from the Residential 1 (R1) Zone to the Apartment 1 (A1) Zone to bring an existing Apartment Building into conformance. Apartment Building is a Permitted Use in the A1 Zone. No development is proposed at this time. A Municipal Plan Amendment is not required. Should the land be rezoned, uses within the A1 Zone could be considered.

The St. John’s Transportation Commission is a wholly owned subsidiary of the City of St. John’s responsible for the operation of Metrobus.
The City is calling for Expressions of Interest for two public members to join the St. John’s Transportation Commission. These two positions will fill the remainder of the terms until September 2025 and December 2025.

Due to the 2024 Swim for Hope event being held at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre on Friday, February 2 from 1 to 9 p.m. some swims have been impacted.
The Leisure Swim with slide from 7 to 7:50 p.m. and 8 to 8:50 p.m. will have a decreased capacity.
