Join us for Family Fun Day on October 1! Interested in learning about philosophy? We have space in our introductory course covering different areas of philosophy, major thinkers and philosophical notions. We’re also offering rug hooking for beginners using repurposed fabrics. There’s also space in our Home Alone Course, a safety and life skills program for children ages 10-12 and our Babysitting Course for those who have completed grade 5. Register today!

Today, September 20, the City of St. John’s, with support from Tree Canada, is celebrating the 13th anniversary of National Tree Day.
A tree planting ceremony was held at Victoria Park to mark the occasion. Cruise Ship Ambience arrives September 21

The Ambience with 798 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 21 and depart on Saturday, September 23 at 7 p.m.
Please note that ship arrivals and departures are subject to various conditions, including weather and ships’ schedules. For the most up-to-date information on cruise ships coming to the City of St. John’s call the Cruise Information Line.

Updated - Gleneyre Street Road Closure and Detour

Motorists are advised that Gleneyre Street will be closed to through traffic near the Torbay Road intersection. A detour will be in place to access the neighbourhood via Highland Drive, Dunlea Street and Birchwynd Street to facilitate construction works associated with the Gleneyre Street culvert replacement project.
