Today, City Council approved a new Street Naming and Civic Addressing Policy. The new policy clearly defines a process for the naming of streets or the changing of street names, and what steps are required to request a name change. Temporary construction fencing has been installed adjacent to the Aquarena and Prince of Wales Collegiate and construction has begun on the new Track and Field and Centre of Excellence Facility for the 2025 Canada Games. Heavy equipment will be operating in the area between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with some longer evenings expected in the summer months.
