Road Closure - Remembrance Day Parade Shea Heights

Saturday, November 11th - 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Motorists are advised that Linegar Avenue (from St. John Bosco School to the Shea Heights Community Centre) will be closed to facilitate the Remembrance Day Parade.

National Child Day: Free Events November 20-26

November 20 is National Child Day in Canada, a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere to live happy, healthy lives, and to ensure they reach their full potential. To celebrate, the City of St. John’s is offering a week of free events and programs, November 20 to 26, at various community centres. Events include Youth Drop-In, Everyone Welcome Swim and Active Playgroup.

Lane Reduction - Water Street (vicinity of the National War Memorial)

Motorists are advised that Water Street (in the vicinity of the National War Memorial) will be reduced to one lane to facilitate the sewer replacement work adjacent to the National War Memorial. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route, if possible.

What We Heard: Accessibility Plan

The City of St. John’s has released a What We Heard report summarizing findings from public engagement which took place in September and October on the development of an Accessibility Plan. The Accessibility Plan will focus on actions to improve accessibility and remove barriers, building upon and improving existing measures previously implemented by the City of St. John’s.
What We Heard will be shared with Council at the Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
