St. George’s Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the St. George’s Day holiday on Monday, April 24, the weekly City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 25 at 3 p.m.
Garbage and recycling collection will be collected on Monday.
All City paid parking by-laws are still in effect including paid parking regulations as Monday is not a Shops Closing holiday.
Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Quidi Vidi Lake.
All recreation facilities will be open.

The City of St. John’s together with the St. John’s Port Authority and industry partners, look forward to an even brighter and busier cruise season in 2023.
After a two-year absence, the cruise industry made an encouraging return last year. This year, the Norwegian Dawn is the first ship scheduled to arrive in St. John’s, with approximately 3,000 passengers expected on April 24. Take notice that the St. John’s Municipal Council has enacted the St. John’s Commercial Maintenance (Amendment No. 1-2023) By-Law.
The said By-Law was passed by Council on the seventeenth day of April, A.D., 2023, to amend St. John’s Commercial Maintenance By-Law so as to update the provisions related to garbage receptacles and to incorporate provisions related to Parklets.
