Motorists are advised that a portion of Back Line (Gould’s), in vicinity of Civic #294 to Civic # 301, will be closed to through traffic to facilitate work of a large diameter culvert replacement project. Traffic will be detoured to Main Road by way of Doyle’s Road and/or Dooling’s Line. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Motorists may encounter some delays.

Pending approval at the regular Council meeting on Tuesday, July 11, a new multi-year construction project begins later this month on Elizabeth Avenue. Phase 1 this year spans from Bonaventure Avenue to Westerland Road with Phase 2 from Westerland Road to Freshwater Road slated to begin in 2024. The project includes both street rehabilitation and the construction of a shared-use path.

Due to the Orangemen’s Day holiday on Mon. July 10, most City offices will be closed. The bi-weekly City Council meeting will take place on Tues. July 11 at 3 p.m.

If you have rats around your house, it doesn’t mean your property is dirty but it likely means that you are providing a food source for them and have spaces they can use for shelter.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, not all yard waste was collected on Tuesday, July 4. Any yard waste not collected will be collected on Wednesday, July 5.
