St. George’s Day Holiday 2024

Due to the St. George’s Day holiday on Monday, April 22, City offices will be closed with the exception of the following:

All recreation facilities will be open.
Garbage and recycling collection will go ahead as scheduled.
As Monday is not a Shops Closing holiday, all City paid parking by-laws are still in effect.
The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be open for commercial users only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residential Drop Off will be closed.
Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman...

System maintenance is scheduled for the City's mobile app '311 St. John's' overnight tonight from 12:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18.

Notice Road Closure - Springdale Street (between Water Street & George Street West)

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, from Water Street to George Street West, will be closed on Tuesday, April 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

Starting 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, residents of St. John's can book a free curbside collection appointment for oversized waste.

To book an appointment use one of the following options:

Go to CurbitStJohns.ca/Schedules and choose the oversized tab
Use the ‘Curbit St. John’s’ app and choose the oversized tab
Call Access St. John’s at 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489)

Appointments will be scheduled based on your regular waste collection day:
