Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, from Water Street to George Street West, will be closed from December 11 to 15 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

The City of St. John’s has released What We Heard reports for four public engagement processes which took place between May to November 2023: Age-Friendly City, Cowan Park Tennis to Pickleball Court Conversion, Disc Golf Proposal for McNiven Place in Airport Heights and the Downtown Neighbourhood Plan. Motorists are advised that Duckworth Street from King’s Road to Holloway Street will be reduced to one lane to facilitate the ongoing construction project adjacent to the National War Memorial. Signage will be in place and traffic lights and/or flag persons will be on site. Motorists may experience delays as a result.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times for businesses in the area and business owners are encouraged to speak to the project...
