A detour will be in place on Duckworth Street on June 10 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. between King’s Road and Holloway Street, to facilitate construction related to the Provincial Government’s National War Memorial refurbishment project.
Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be also maintained for businesses in the area and business owners are encouraged to speak to the project representatives on site with any concerns.

The City of St. John's had a watermain break of a 20-inch pipe in the area of Carrick Drive, Regent Street and Outer Ring Road this morning.
City Crews worked quickly to address the break, and are actively working on repairs. It is estimated that work may be finished by midnight tonight, Thursday, June 6. The City has received an application from JSM Properties Inc. to rezone land at 50 Bennett Avenue from the Institutional (NST) Zone to the Apartment 1 (A1) Zone for a new Cluster Development use. The Cluster Development will include three (3) Apartment Buildings and one (1) Four-Plex for a total of fifty (50) units. A Municipal Plan Amendment is also required to redesignate the property from the Institutional District to the Residential District.
