On Tuesday, Nov. 1, you’re invited to display your Jack O’ Lantern (pumpkin) at Bannerman Park and participate in the Pumpkin Walk - a magnificent Halloween themed event that includes music and performances. A light source will be provided for your pumpkin.
Event time: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sensory friendly hour: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Back-up Date (in case of inclement weather): Nov. 2
Accessible parking spaces will be available in the main parking lot off Bannerman Road during the event....

This fall there are multiple drop-in programs being offered at the Kenmount Terrace Community Centre, 85 Messenger Drive. The programs are being offered weekly until early December 2022. There are programs for all ages and abilities.
Playgroup (Ages 5 and Younger)Playgroup is for children who are ages 5 or younger, and their guardian(s). Playgroup provides an opportunity for your young children to be active and socialize, in a safe and welcoming environment.

From Thursday, Oct. 20 to Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, the eastbound exit ramp from Pitts Memorial Drive to Southlands Boulevard will be closed. Also, southbound traffic on Southlands Boulevard will not be able to exit onto Pitts Memorial Drive eastbound. Northbound traffic can still exit onto Pitts Memorial Drive eastbound during this ramp closure.
Motorists can use the Ruth Avenue exit or the Route 3 Commonwealth Interchange via Heavy Tree Road exit as an alternative.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from October 17 to 21 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. On October 17 to 21, the City of St. John’s will be conducting sewer vapour testing on Empire Avenue and surrounding areas.
Testing is required to identify areas of the sewer system that needs updating. Work is scheduled along Empire Avenue and adjacent streets from Columbus Drive to Water Street. See project area map.
