Closure - Springdale Street

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed on May 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

St. Patrick’s Day Holiday City Schedule

Due to the St. Patrick’s Day holiday on Monday, Mar. 20, the weekly City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 3 p.m.

Please note:

Garbage and recycling will be collected on Monday.
The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All City parking by-laws are still in effect including paid parking regulations as Monday is not a Shops Closing holiday.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, garbage and recycling collection will be postponed on Thursday, Mar. 16, 2023.

Impacted areas:

4A and 4B

Garbage collection for Area 4A and 4B, including recycling for 4B will now take place on Friday, Mar. 17, 2023.

Garbage collection for Area 5A and 5B, including recycling for 5B, will also take place as scheduled on Friday, Mar. 17, 2023.

Residents in Area 4 and Area 5 may experience delays due to the double collection day.

24-Hour Parking Restriction in Effect: March 16, 2023

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Mar. 16, 2023.

On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.

An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.
