Annual Applause Awards Being Held March 28

The second annual Applause Awards will be webcast live on Tuesday, Mar. 28 at 7:30 p.m. on NTV Plus.
Watch as the City presents its municipal awards from the St. John’s Convention Centre to nominees and finalists in the following categories:
- Athletes of the Year
- Climate Change Leadership
- Heritage
- Youth of the Year
- Senior of the Year
- Tourism
- Volunteers of the Year
The show will be hosted by NTV’s Sharon Snow. Featured entertainers include Alex Taylor and Ana & Eric!

24-Hour Parking Restriction Ending: March 26, 2023

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District ends at 11 a.m., Sunday, Mar. 26, 2023.
The overnight winter parking restriction remains in effect daily from 12:30 to 7:30 a.m., regardless of weather and street conditions.

Recreation Facilities Close at 6:30 p.m. March 24, 2023

Due to the weather, all City of St. John's recreation facilities will close at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Mar. 24, 2023.
Due to the forecasted weather, we will have a delayed opening on Saturday, Mar. 25. An announcement on when facilities will be open will be made by 11 a.m. Saturday.
Residential Drop Off Closed March 25

Due to forecasted weather conditions the Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop Off (RDO) will be closed Saturday, Mar. 25, 2023.
The Residential Drop Off will reopen Tuesday, Mar. 28 at 8 a.m.
The commercial landfill and recycling facility will be open Saturday, Mar. 25, 8 a.m. to noon.
The City of St John’s apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
24-Hour Parking Restriction in Effect: March 24, 2023

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 9:00 p.m., Friday, Mar. 24, 2023.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.
An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.
