Lane Reduction - Duckworth Street (King's Road to Holloway Street)

Monday, October 23 to Friday, October 27

Motorists are advised that Duckworth Street from King’s Road to Holloway Street will be reduced to one lane to facilitate the ongoing construction project adjacent to the National War Memorial. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Motorists may experience delays as a result.

Visitor Information Services: Closed for Season

Effective Friday, October 20 at 4:30 p.m., Visitor Information Services at the Welcome Centre, 348 Water Street, will be closed for the season. Visitors can contact the centre during the off season via email: tourism@stjohns.ca.

Street Rehab - October 23 to 28

Contractors may be working on the following streets from October 23 to 28 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs.  Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.  Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Brier Avenue

Canada Drive

Columbus Drive (Wexford Street to Thorburn Road

Dublin Road

Incinerator Road

Limerick Place

London Road

Updated - Detour - Canada Drive (from Hamlyn Road to Columbus Drive)

Detour remains in place until Friday, October 27 (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

Motorists are advised that a detour will remain in place to October 27 to facilitate the ongoing construction of the Shared-Use Path on Canada Drive, however, access for local residents and emergency services will be maintained.  Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site.
