Road Closure - Elizabeth Ave (Newtown Road to Allandale Rd/Bonaventure Ave)

Motorists are advised that a portion of Elizabeth Ave (Newtown Road to Allandale Rd/Bonaventure Ave) will be restricted to local traffic only starting Monday, August 21, 2023. A detour will be in place to direct traffic along Bonaventure Ave, Whiteway Street and Newtown Road, or Allandale Rd, Prince Philip Drive and Westerland Rd. Local traffic will not be able to turn left onto Elizabeth Ave from Bonaventure Ave.

The Zaandam with 1838 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 6:30 a.m. on Friday August 18 and depart at 5 p.m. The Seabourn Quest with 462 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8 a.m. on Friday August 18 and depart at 6 p.m.

Motorists are advised that Water Street (in the vicinity of the National War Memorial) will be reduced to one lane to facilitate the sewer replacement work adjacent to the National War Memorial.
