The City has received an application to rezone land at 242 Danny Drive from the Industrial General (IG) Zone to the Industrial Commercial (IC) Zone for a Commercial Garage and Showroom (Retail Use). Commercial Garage is a Permitted Use in the IC Zone, and Retail Use is a Discretionary Use. A Municipal Plan amendment is not required.

Motorists are advised that the traffic lights at the Westerland Road/Elizabeth Avenue intersection will be shut down starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17 to facilitate paving of the intersection. Flag persons will be on site directing traffic. Motorists should anticipate delays and use alternate routes where possible. Power will be restored by 4 p.m.

Seniors and older adults are invited to celebrate Seniors Day on October 3.
