The Fire Chief of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD), along with representatives from the City of St. John’s, City of Mount Pearl, Town of Paradise and IAFF Local 1075 will officially welcome 17 new firefighter recruits on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Central Fire Station.

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed from June 5 to June 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.
