Due to necessary maintenance repairs the Residential Drop Off (RDO) at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will have reduced capacity and visitors may experience extended wait periods.
It is expected the work will be completed by November 30.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from October 14 to 19 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

The 999 passenger cruise ship, Spirit of Adventure, will arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, and depart at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 13. The cruise ship was originally scheduled to arrive on Monday, October 12. To accommodate the change in schedule, the Visitor Information Centre located at 348 Water Street will now be open on Sunday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on Monday, October 14 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Pedestrians and bicyclists utilizing the T’Railway are advised there will be a temporary closure of the T’Railway near 275 Southside Road and Newdock on October 15, 2024. Signage and barricades will be in place. As the T’Railway pedestrian bridge near Newdock will be temporarily closed, pedestrians and bicyclists are advised to cross at Blackhead Road bridge instead.
