To facilitate the Shamrockin’ 5k Road Race motorists are advised there will be a lane reduction on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Participants will use the sidewalk and a lane reduction will be in place. Motorists are advised that vehicles may be stopped but for no more than 5 minutes.

At the March 11, 2025 City Council Meeting, over $1.8 million was approved for Community and Capital Grants. For 2025, community grants total $1,312,500 and capital grants total $489,630 plus $43,127 in waived permit and development fees.

The City of St. John's is offering free space on the Downtown Pedestrian Mall for organizations to engage with the community in creative ways.
Interested organizations are encouraged to apply by completing the application form and outlining their ideas for enhancing the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. Please review all requirements before submitting.
Space is limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee approval. City staff will contact applicants directly regarding their submissions.

The City of St. John’s will be hosting a World Poetry Day Reading Event on Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m. in the Foran Greene Room, Fourth Floor, City Hall.
