November 20 is National Child Day in Canada, a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere to live happy, healthy lives, and to support them in reaching their full potential. To celebrate, the City of St. John’s is offering a week of free events and programs, November 13 to 20, at various community centres. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, due to unforeseen circumstances the new traffic signal at King's Bridge Road will remain in yellow flash mode, requiring drivers and other road users to yield to pedestrians crossing the street.

During public engagement for the 2024-2026 Accessibility Plan, the City heard that accessibility in parks and trails is important. We are pleased to announce the installation of new accessible rest areas in two local parks. The deadline to return completed voting kits by mail is Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Residents that miss the mail-in deadline can still cast their vote. Completed kits can be deposited at the green drop box situated outside City Hall up until 8 p.m. on November 5.
