Contractors may be working on the following streets 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from December 5 to 9 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Allandale Road (section near turnaround bubble)
Spencer Street

The Paul Reynolds Community Centre swimming pool is closed for annual maintenance from Sunday, Dec. 4 until Saturday, Dec. 17, re-opening on Sunday, Dec. 18.
The facility remains open to the public while the pool is closed. The city apologizes for the inconvenience that this may cause.

The 2022 Downtown Christmas Parade organized by Downtown St. John's is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Dec. 4 beginning at noon.

The City is considering removing the Heritage Building designation from the rear extension of Presentation Covent at 180 Military Road.
DescriptionThe entire footprint of Presentation Convent is currently designated as a Heritage Building. The City is considering removing the designation from the rear extension of the building (portion fronting Barnes Road). The Heritage Building designation will remain on the original part of Presentation Convent, built in 1853.
