This fall there are multiple drop-in programs being offered at the Kenmount Terrace Community Centre, 85 Messenger Drive. The programs are being offered weekly until early December 2022. There are programs for all ages and abilities.
Playgroup (Ages 5 and Younger)Playgroup is for children who are ages 5 or younger, and their guardian(s). Playgroup provides an opportunity for your young children to be active and socialize, in a safe and welcoming environment.

Each summer since 2014, the City of St. John’s hires a litter crew that are mandated to clean the most travelled streets of the city and areas where litter concentrates.
6 Tonnes of LitterOver 12 weeks, the 2022 summer litter crew used 575 clear garbage bags to pick up nearly 6 tonnes of litter from roadsides in St. John’s – with a four-person litter crew that is more than 55 pounds of litter picked up every day by each individual crew member!

On August 22, the City of St. John’s held the Stanley Cup Parade for champion Alex Newhook of the Colorado Avalanche. The streets of St. John’s were lined with people of all ages wanting to celebrate the occasion.
