Detour: Southlands Boulevard Update

The following detour - originally put in place on Southlands Boulevard for the northbound lanes only from Ruby Line to the City limits from Friday, August 12 to Friday, August 26 to facilitate road construction - has been extended until September 2 at 4 p.m. Flag persons will be on site during construction.

Cruise Ship Seabourn Quest Arrives August 23

The Seabourn Quest with 462 passenger is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s on August 23, 2022, at 12 p.m. and is schedule to depart at 9 p.m.

Cruise Ships Scheduled to Arrive August 22

The Amadea with 604 passengers and the Nieuw Statendam with 3152 passengers are scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8 a.m. The Amadea is schedule to depart at 2 p.m., while the Nieuw Statendam is schedule for a 5 p.m. departure.

Detour: Bonaventure Avenue

Motorists are advised that a detour will be in place on Bonaventure Avenue from Fleming Street to Howley Avenue from 7 a.m. Saturday, August 20 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 2 to facilitate road construction. Flag persons will be on site during construction.

Description
The application is a Home Occupation for a sewing studio with incidental retail sales. The Home Occupation is operated by the owner and has a floor area of 37.16 m². Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 6 - 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10a.m. - 2p.m. On-site parking is provided.

Lane Reductions/ Closures: Stanley Cup Parade

The Stanley Cup parade will take place Monday, August 22. Route closures and lane reductions will be in place from 12:30 to 4p.m. in the following areas:
- Bannerman Road: 12:30 to 2:30p.m. Southbound traffic will not be permitted between Circular Road and Military Road.
- Military Road/Ordnance Street/Duckworth Street/Prescott Street/Water Street will have rolling closures as the parade passes. The roadway will be reopened after the parade passes. There will be anticipated traffic delays along this...
