From Monday, Nov. 20 to Friday, Nov. 24 the City of St. John’s is holding a food drive to collect non-perishable food items in support of the Community Food Sharing Association.

Budget 2018
At the regular meeting of City Council beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 11, City Council will share its Budget for 2018. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting.

Again this year the City of St. John’s is encouraging residents to recycle cardboard that accompanies holiday shopping and gift giving. #DeBoxingDays
When using candles, take extra care and place them away from curtains, pets and children and don’t put them under a shelf or other furniture.
City staff have completed the data collection phase of the Winter Avenue traffic calming project. The no-entry restriction via Kings Bridge Road will remain in place at this time.

Throughout the city from Dec.1 to March 31 parking is prohibited 24 hours a day on streets designated as ‘No Parking Snow Route.’ Winter parking regulations vary, depending on where you live.
Automated Garbage Truck
City Council has voted to approve the medium-sized bin (240 liters) for automated garbage collection. Full details on which areas will be included in the phase one will be announced in 2018.
