The City of St. John’s released the findings of its public engagement process for Budget 2019-2021 today. Over 1,000 pieces of feedback have been reviewed and compiled into 15 key theme categories.
Due to the Remembrance Day holiday on Sunday, Nov. 11, City offices will be closed in observance of the holiday on Monday, Nov. 12. Waste and Recycling will not be picked up on Monday.
In response to a significant number of broken and missing parking meters throughout the City, Council are exploring alternatives to on-street metered parking.

From Monday, Nov. 19 to Friday, Nov. 23 the City is holding the fifth annual food drive to collect non-perishable food items in support of the Community Food Sharing Association.

The City of St. John’s is planning for the next phase of the Water Street infrastructure project, set to continue in spring 2019. A drop in information session is on Nov. 16.
On Monday, a decision note regarding snow clearing and parking restrictions on sections of Water Street and Duckworth Street will be discussed at Council meeting.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit engagestjohns.ca before midnight, October 30 to contribute to the budget discussion online or attend the in-person session Tuesday evening.
