Batteries are household hazardous waste. Never put lithium-ion batteries in the garbage; they are rechargeable batteries that are very flammable once damaged or compressed.

Due to the June Holiday on Monday, June 21, most offices and facilities will be closed. Residents are encouraged to recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday.
The City will be once again using the Vote-By-Mail system for the 2021 election on Tuesday, September 28.

Between May and October the City of St. John’s conducts water main flushing to clean water mains and bring the highest quality drinking water to residents.
In place of St. John’s Days, this year Council has decided to recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD), which takes place annually on June 21. St. John’s Days will be discontinued.
