Visiting our City

People looking through the telescope on Signal Hill

Come discover one of the oldest cities in North America. A city unlike any other. Cradled in a harbour carved from 500 million year old rock. Surrounded by hills running down to the ocean. Charming side streets of a thousand colours. Friendly faces to greet you at every turn. Take a truly unforgettable journey to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. All the information you need to plan your visit is right here.

The City is providing opportunities for youth ages 18 to 30 to help shape how the city engages with, and learns from, youth throughout the community.
Artists and promoters please note that the schedule for removal of sheathing on poles in the downtown core will now occur on the first day of each month, instead of the third Monday of each month.
Today, the City of St. John’s is launching a two-week public engagement process to educate residents about the traffic calming policy review, and to collect feedback to help shape a revised policy.
