The City of St. John's posts public advisories whenever we have an interruption in service to ensure the public is kept informed. Due to a watermain break in Churchill Square, water will be shut off to 25 Churchill Square. Crews expect work to be complete by 4 p.m. today, January 15, 2021....
Ten parking spaces have been rented prohibiting public parking on the south side of Water St between Clifts Bairds Cove and Prescott St to accomodate Newfoundland Power mainteance vehicles.
Motorists are advised that a driving lane will be reduced on New Gower Street between Buchannan Street and Waldergrave Street to facilitate area construction. Flag persons will be on site.
...The City of St. John's website will be intermittently unavailable January 7 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This interruption affects the Website, Tenders (bids.stjohns.ca), Mapcentre and Automatic Vehicle Lookup...
Motorists are advised that the following road closures will come into effect at 6:30 pm. Jan.1, with the exception of The Boulevard between Legion Road and East White Hills Road, which will be closed at 7:30 p.m. ...
Due to the current high wind conditions, the New Year's Eve fireworks scheduled for this evening have been postponed. The fireworks will go ahead tomorrow at 8 p.m., weather permitting.
Waterford Bridge Road Westbound from Bay Bulls Road to Cowan Avenue will be closed due to a watermain break. All traffic will be detoured to Bay Bulls Road during this time.
...Railway Coastal Museum will be closed on Wednesday, December 23, due to maintenance issues.
Due to forecasted weather conditions, waste collection for Area 2A/2B including recycling for 2B is postponed and will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020. Garbage collection for Area 3A/3B including recycling for 3B will also take place as scheduled on Wednesday Dec. 23, 2020....

Motorists are advised that Clift's Baird’s Cove will be reduced to one-way traffic entering from Harbour Drive only to facilitate emergency infrastructure repairs. There will be no access from Water Street for the duration of the repairs. Flag persons will be on site and access will be granted...
